Key Responsibilities

  • Write test data scripts, based on ETL mapping artifacts
  • Execute data scripts and detailed analysis on the scripts
  • Create strategies and test cases for applications that use ETL components
  • Detailed data analysis on data warehousing systems
  • Execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of data related projects
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.
  • Adherence to testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the testing approach
  • Define and track test metrics, including code coverage, quality, and performance
  • Manage execution of testing efforts; including meeting committed delivery dates for released and soon to be released applications and components
  • Ensure highest level of quality performed by test team remains strong
  • Set and agree test tool strategy, leveraging automation tools

Qualifications and Experience
Years of Experience
  • 5+ Years of Relevant Experience in IT Automation Testing for Web Application using tools like Selenium, QTP, accelQ etc.
  • 5+ years of Hands-on experience in ETL Testing
Educational Qualification
  • BCA, BE/ B Tech (CS), M Tech (CS), MCA or equivalent degree.
  • Relevant certificates like ISTQB, Automation tool & ETL/Datawarehouse will be an added advantage
Prior Experience
  • Experience analyzing ETL mapping documents
  • Create SQL scripts based ETL mapping documents
  • Create and execute test cases for applications that use ETL components
  • Expert in Database testing with excellent SQL skills and queries
  • Extensive experience in data migration backend testing
  • Experience testing Waterfall/Agile Development Projects
  • Hands on experience interpreting and understanding data models
  • Hands-On Knowledge in Automation Scripts in UFT-QTP, VBScript and/or Selenium, accelQ or any other Scripting Languages
  • Good to have Telecom functional knowledge
  • Experience in Migration Testing
  • Experience with test execution using test automation tool (Most likely accelQ)
  • Good understanding of the QA process (Requirement understanding /Test execution /Defect tracking /Testing Types /Test Reporting etc.)
  • Hands on experience in JIRA, ALM
