Navigating Through TED
After logging in, you are taken to the TED dashboard. Value Stream is the primary streamline of the TED dashboard.
To have a quick view of your client’s dashboard; get on to the selection option to the right of the dashboard. Click on the dropdown arrow to get the list of all your client. Choose the client whose projects you need to monitor.
TED provides a structured visualization of project data needed to understand and intelligently make improvements that optimize the entire end-to-end delivery process based on the selected VSM.
TED dashboard allows two perspectives of the dashboard.
The health dashboard provides a holistic view of every project's health at a glance - allowing you to measure, monitor, and evaluate each project's maturity.
Select the value stream to get an individual summarized project status report and the project score rate of the projects tagged to the selected value stream.
Each tile representing the project status is stemmed from a set of pre-defined metrics. To bring up the granularity within each project status and for easy summarization, TED sums up these pre-defined metrics in four sections.
Overall App Score – analyzes the overall performance of your project.
Sprint Completion Rate - measures the delivery against the planned tasks.
Pipeline Health – analyses the project delivering quality.
Sprint Quality – measures the deliverables to meet the acceptance criteria.
|You can configure the weightage parameters to these metrics but cannot view/edit these metrics.|
To enable easy identification, TED uses color codes to represent these scores, based on the weightage set by the user.
Red – critical, needs an immediate call to action (Score: 0 - 5).
Orange – is almost on the verge and needs attention (Score: 5 - 8).
Green – in progress as scheduled (Score 8 – 10).
View Summary provides greater insight into the metrics.
TED enables you to dynamically choose and customize the pre-defined metrics based on your requirements. To configure refer to Configuring the Health Dashboard Metrics.
The project dashboard provides a comprehensive summary of the status of each project aligned with the VSM.
Select a VSM from the dropdown list of available VSMs.
The VSMs populated in this list are initially established during the initial configuration including a set of pre-defined VSMs.
To view VSM – Project Dashboard, continuing with step 1 – selecting the VSM, choose the corresponding project listed in the dropdown based on the VSM, for which you need to obtain the performance status.
The metrics derived get reflected on the dashboard specific to the selected project.
The Metrics pane is a collection of statistical data reports on project status. Each tile in this section displays different metrics-derived reports to help you identify the gaps, allowing you to prioritize your work sprints based on the VSM and the project.
The expansion key on the metric tiles allows you to have an expanded view of the data for clarity.
The custom keys associated with each tile allow you to perform some quick actions that can provide insights into that metrics.
View Details — This option provides a snapshot of the statistics.
Configuration – This key gives a quick summary of the metrics' configuration; the information such as the alert message, formula, and query parameters.
Delete — This deletes a metric from the metrics pane.
Filters can be used to narrow down the metrics view based on a particular connector(s) - allowing the display of data metrics that interests you.
Obtain the data metrics for a specific date range/period to cater to your requirement.
Get a snapshot of the project’s health.
This provides quick links for customizing the project dashboard- allows to add/change a VSM, add new metrics or add projects and people to the project.
